Art is my happy place and my easel is where I feel most content. It is a place of calm in the chaotic world we inhabit. And a place that helps me focus and reflect on how grateful I am to be here.

Many years ago while attending college, I was the victim of a violent crime. After being so close to death I plunged into a very dark period, but eventually emerged as a survivor. I began to see art as a form of therapy and release. I also experienced first hand how art changes lives and makes the world a better place.

I now use oil paint, charcoal or graphite to recreate the emotions that myself and others may be feeling through a combination of atmosphere and color harmony, along with realistic and abstract forms. Each brush stroke I make is part of a larger story resulting in a piece of art that we can each interpret in our own unique way.

It is a wonderful feeling to be inspired by the people around me, and by my local, natural surroundings. Whether it be my children playing in the park, walking among the trees during a hike, or sitting at the beach on a hot summer day. I am constantly visualizing works of art to be created. I hope you enjoy looking at my art as much as I enjoy creating it!
